MLB star to host third annual charity weekend for autism

PEE DEE, SC (WMBF) Join Orlando Hudson, second baseman for the San Diego Padres on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15 as he host the third annual Strike Out! Autism Charity Weekend in the Pee Dee to raises fund for the CATCH Foundation in the fight against autism.

The CATCH (Curing Autism Through Change and Hope) Foundation is Hudson's own charity, that provides children and families affected by autism with therapy, education and other activities to grant them a normal life. All proceeds raised during the weekend's events will benefits the CATCH Foundation.

The following events are scheduled for Hudson's Strike Out! Autism Charity Weekend:

  • Saturday, Jan 14

Bowling Fundraiser at Southgate Bowling Center in Florence

7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Bowl for $25, watch for $10

Lane sponsorships available, include bowling, food and tshirt.

  • Sunday, Jan. 15

Crossover Charity Basketball Game at Darlington High School

3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Featuring special appearances by celebrity coaches and players

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children.
