Dental students providing smiles in the Pee Dee | Events
FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) Dental students from Florence-Darlington Technical College are teaming up with the Florence Chapter of the South Carolina Dental Association for the tenth annual Give Kids a Smile free dental care day Friday, Feb. 3.
Volunteer dentists and dental assistants will be joined by the FDTC students in providing much needed dental care to children between the ages of 6 and 17. Volunteers served over 80 kids last year, providing over $95,000 worth of donated services.
"This annual clinic day is always a fun, educational event for the community", said Susan Cochran, FDTC Dental Department Head.
The clinic is located on the first floor of the College's Health Science Campus on the corner of Coit and Cheves Streets in downtown Florence. The free clinic will begin on Friday 8 a.m. and last until 2 p.m.
